Full Charge Bookkeeper
Full-time
Reports to: Executive Director
FLSA Status: Exempt
Full-Time Salary: $56,000 annually, DOE
Job Summary & General Qualifications:
Full-Charge Bookkeeper for nonprofit organization sought for immediate start, managing A/P, A/R, payroll, monthly and quarterly financials, budgets, quarterly taxes, pro forma projections and cash flow.
Must have good problem-solving skills and be able to communicate efficiently and professionally, and assist with reports and projections.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage general accounting functions of a nonprofit organization, including but not limited to A/P, A/R, G/L, taxes and grant management

Reconcile bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers

Prepare quarterly and year-end financial audit activities

Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvement

Prepare monthly financial statements

Prepare budget & cash flow reports
-
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements for nonprofit organizations
Required Skills & Abilities:

Proficiency in Quickbooks desktop including A/P and payroll

Proficient in MSExcel
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills

Outstanding knowledge of MSOffice and Outlook

Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
Education & Experience:
-
Bachelor's Degree in accounting or Finance
-
CPA preferred
-
2 years or more of related experience, including nonprofit accounting, business strategic management and grant management/billing.

8 hour shift, Monday through Friday
