Full Charge Bookkeeper
Full-time

Reports to: Executive Director
FLSA Status: Exempt
Full-Time Salary: $56,000 annually, DOE

Job Summary & General Qualifications:
Full-Charge Bookkeeper for nonprofit organization sought for immediate start, managing A/P, A/R, payroll, monthly and quarterly financials, budgets, quarterly taxes, pro forma projections and cash flow.


Must have good problem-solving skills and be able to communicate efficiently and professionally, and assist with reports and projections.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage general accounting functions of a nonprofit organization, including but not limited to A/P, A/R, G/L, taxes and grant management

  • Reconcile bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers

  • Prepare quarterly and year-end financial audit activities

  • Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvement

  • Prepare monthly financial statements

  • Prepare budget & cash flow reports

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements for nonprofit organizations

 

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Quickbooks desktop including A/P and payroll

  • Proficient in MSExcel

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills

  • Outstanding knowledge of MSOffice and Outlook

  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or Finance

  • CPA preferred

  • 2 years or more of related experience, including nonprofit accounting, business strategic management and grant management/billing.

Schedule:
8 hour shift, Monday through Friday
